Health & AI Disclaimer. SleepQ is a wellness and lifestyle application intended to support healthier sleep habits. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI Sleep Coach generates suggestions based on patterns in your data; AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon for any medical decision. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding any health concern.
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the SleepQ mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
SleepQ grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or our servers
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person, or to attempt to access another user's account
3. Accounts
A. Anonymous accounts
SleepQ creates an anonymous account for you the first time you use the App. This account does not require an email, password, or any personal information. Your account is identified by a unique, opaque identifier stored securely on your device.
B. Sign in with Apple (optional)
You may optionally link your account to your Apple ID using Sign in with Apple. Doing so allows you to recover your account and sleep history on a new device or after a reinstall. Apple provides SleepQ with a stable, opaque user identifier; we do not receive your real email address or other personal information unless you explicitly choose to share it.
If you do not link your Apple ID and you uninstall the App or lose access to your device, your account may become permanently inaccessible. SleepQ is not responsible for data loss in this case.
C. Your responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Because the App uses delegated authentication (Apple Sign-In) and on-device identifiers, you do not maintain a SleepQ password. Anyone with access to your unlocked device and Apple ID may also have access to your SleepQ account.
4. Apple Health and Sleep Data
SleepQ integrates with Apple Health (HealthKit) to read sleep, heart rate, and heart-rate-variability data from your iPhone and connected wearables (such as Apple Watch, Oura Ring, Whoop, Fitbit, or Garmin). You control which data SleepQ can access through the Health app at any time.
SleepQ has read-only access to your Health data. We do not write to, modify, or delete data in Apple Health. We do not share your Health data with third parties for marketing.
The accuracy of SleepQ's insights depends on the accuracy and completeness of the data provided by your wearable and the underlying HealthKit framework. SleepQ does not guarantee any particular outcome and is not responsible for inaccuracies in source data.
5. AI Sleep Coach
The AI Sleep Coach analyzes patterns in your sleep data and check-ins to generate personalized wellness suggestions and answer your questions.
AI-generated content may be incorrect, incomplete, or out of date. Suggestions from the Coach are informational only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. You agree to use your own judgment and to consult a qualified healthcare provider before acting on any suggestion that affects your health.
SleepQ may use anonymized, aggregated patterns from user data to improve SleepQ features and AI performance. We do not use your personally identifiable information to train models, and we do not use your identifiable health data for advertising or third-party marketing.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
A. What's included
Some SleepQ features (Sleep Coach, weekly and rolling sleep insights, daily analysis, and Sleep Lab experiments) require an active Premium subscription. Basic sleep tracking and check-ins are available without a subscription.
B. Pricing and free trial
SleepQ Premium is offered with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. After the trial:
- Monthly plan — $4.99 per month
- Yearly plan — $49.99 per year
Prices shown are for the United States App Store and may vary by region. The price applicable to you is shown in the App at the time of purchase.
C. Auto-renewal
Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on your plan) at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
D. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name → Subscriptions
- Find SleepQ and tap Cancel Subscription
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Premium features until that date. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
E. Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by SleepQ. You may request a refund directly from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. Your Data Rights
A. Account deletion
You may delete your SleepQ account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the App. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your data in Apple Health is not affected — SleepQ only deletes the copy we hold.
B. Other rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data (such as access, correction, or portability). See our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise these rights.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, algorithms, branding, designs, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, are the property of SleepQ or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
"SleepQ" and the SleepQ logo are trademarks of SleepQ. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or use the App in a manner that may cause harm to other users, our service, or third parties.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SLEEPQ DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLEEPQ AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
In no event shall SleepQ's aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid SleepQ in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the App and on this page, with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the App will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
