1. Getting Started
A. How do I start tracking my sleep?
SleepQ reads your sleep data from Apple Health. The first time you open the app:
- Complete onboarding
- Tap Connect Apple Health
- Grant permission for Sleep, Heart Rate, and HRV
- Wear your Apple Watch or compatible tracker to bed
Your first sleep report will appear after at least one tracked night.
B. Which devices work with SleepQ?
SleepQ works with devices and apps that write sleep data to Apple Health, including:
- Apple Watch
- Oura Ring
- Whoop
- Fitbit
- Garmin
If your tracker syncs with Apple Health, SleepQ can usually read the data automatically.
2. Sleep Score & Insights
A. What does my sleep score mean?
Each morning SleepQ generates a sleep score from 0–100 based on your nightly sleep data. The score considers factors such as:
- Total sleep time
- Sleep consistency
- REM and deep sleep trends
- Sleep efficiency
- HRV and overnight heart rate patterns
Your score is personalized to your own sleep baseline and trends over time.
B. Why are Insights blank?
Insights require at least 3 tracked nights with valid sleep data. Make sure your wearable is syncing correctly with Apple Health.
3. AI Sleep Coach
A. What does the AI Coach do?
The AI Sleep Coach helps explain trends in your sleep and offers personalized wellness suggestions based on your sleep history and daily check-ins.
Example questions:
- “Why was my sleep quality lower this week?”
- “What habits appear connected to better sleep?”
- “What should I focus on tonight?”
B. How does the AI Coach work?
The Sleep Coach uses AI models to analyze patterns in your sleep and check-in data in order to generate personalized wellness suggestions. AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be considered medical advice.
C. Does the Coach work offline?
No. The AI Coach requires an internet connection. Your sleep history and charts remain available offline.
4. Sleep Lab
A. What are sleep experiments?
Sleep Lab helps you test one focused sleep habit at a time. Examples include:
- Reducing late caffeine
- Adjusting bedtime consistency
- Improving bedroom temperature
- Trying a wind-down routine
SleepQ compares your sleep trends before and after each experiment to identify what appears to improve your sleep quality.
5. Account & Privacy
A. How does Sign in with Apple work?
Sign in with Apple allows you to restore your SleepQ account across devices and app reinstalls. Apple provides SleepQ with a secure identifier without sharing personal information unless you explicitly choose to share it.
B. How is my Health data used?
SleepQ only accesses the Health data you explicitly authorize through Apple HealthKit. Your Health data is used solely to provide sleep tracking, personalized insights, and AI coaching features inside the app.
Health data is never sold or used for advertising purposes.
C. Does SleepQ write data to Apple Health?
No. SleepQ has read-only access to Apple Health data. The app does not modify or delete your Health data.
D. What data does SleepQ collect?
- Sleep data authorized through Apple Health
- Daily check-ins and wellness logs
- Messages sent to the AI Coach
- Anonymous device/account identifiers
SleepQ does not collect contacts, photos, browsing history, or location data.
E. How do I revoke Apple Health permissions?
- Open the Health app
- Tap your profile picture
- Tap Privacy → Apps
- Select SleepQ
- Disable permissions
F. How do I delete my account?
- Open the Profile tab
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm deletion
Deleting your account permanently removes associated SleepQ data from active systems within a reasonable retention period unless legally required otherwise. Apple Health data stored on your device is not affected.

A. What does Premium include?

B. How much does Premium cost?
- Monthly: $4.99/month
- Yearly: $49.99/year

C. How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open iPhone Settings
- Tap your Apple ID
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select SleepQ
- Tap Cancel Subscription
All subscriptions and billing are securely managed through Apple's App Store.
D. Can I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. Troubleshooting
A. My sleep data is missing
- Open the Apple Health app
- Verify your wearable recorded sleep data
- Check SleepQ permissions in Apple Health
- Pull down to refresh the Home screen
B. The AI Coach isn't responding
Check your internet connection and reopen the app. If the issue continues, contact support.
C. Notifications are not arriving
- Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → SleepQ
- Enable notifications
- Confirm reminder times in SleepQ settings
